Capable of housing a pair of campers with ease, the Electron 2 three-season tent is terrific for casual or backcountry camping. The tent employs Reverse Combi Technology, an award-winning, variable-diameter pole system that uses thicker diameter pole sections in the center--where strength and stability are needed most--and thinner diameter, pre-bent pole sections on the ends. This creates steeper walls and close to 50 percent more functional space than a typical X-tent, with a total footprint of 33 square feet. The Electron 2 also offers two doors for easy entry and exit, along with two vestibules that measure 14 and 10 square feet respectively. And thanks to the tent's tough construction--the body is made of 40-denier nylon, the floor is made of 70-denier nylon, and the fly is made of 68-denier polyester--the Electron 2 will hold up to heavy use through the years. As a bonus, the tent comes with a windfall of free accessories, including a coffee sling, a fast-pack footprint, and a portable attic.
Features:
The Electron 2-person tent with rainfly and vestibule.
Ball cap connector: The ball cap eliminates the tip and grommet at the end of ridge poles. The cap's unique shape allows the ball cap to pivot and rotate without release. SQ ring: The SQ ring attaches to the inside of the tent fly, where it easily connects to the ridge pole and tent fly without requiring Velcro or a pole end pocket. Dye-free optic white canopy: Optic white canopies transmit light more effectively to create a brighter and more pleasant environment inside the tent. Sierra Designs produces the optic white canopy without the use of chemical dyes. RCT swift clip: This twist clip from DAC clips perfectly to any pole diameter and removes with a simple twist. Sew-free windows: These windows utilize bonded tape to create a stronger, lighter window than traditional sewn-and-sealed versions. Spider Hub with H-Clips: This flexible aluminum hub--the smallest and lightest hub available--accommodates any number of poles at any angle. The Spider Hub also includes H-Clips that easily lock in place to help you quickly finish the pitch.
